Atlanta: After BLT

After BLT we decided to head to Victory Sandwich Bar for some drinks. I had had a few (still not sure how many) glasses of wine and was feeling pretty good.  On the way to Victory we drove by a park and saw a mob of people. When I say mob I am probably exaggerating but there was a large group of people gathered…and this is not common for 10:30pm at night in this area.

So since the four of us were a little wine drunk we decided to stop and check out the scene. And it was weird, but entertaining to say the least. There was a group of young adults dressed in all white with white wigs on…the men with no shirts…interpretive dancing to opera music. Kind of weird and very random. I tried to take some pictures but they don’t do this scene justice.  When I say interpretive dancing I mean twirling, spirit fingers, and Dirty Dancing like lifts! Turns out a man was actually singing the opera music! He was a fabulous, I definitely wasn’t expecting to see him come out from behind the dancers.

It turns out this was being put on by glo Atlanta, and they try to create art randomly around the city. If you ever have a chance to witness this you have to do a better job of taking pictures than I did.

After watching this for a while we continued the trip to Victory and had a few of their famous Jack & Coke slushies. These would be amazing for a football game. I usually don’t even like whiskey, but these are an exception.  Needless to say I wasn’t feeling too hot this morning. Today was a lazy Sunday…check out our dinner dates…they are getting married next weekend in Florida. Stay tuned for a recap of that soon!  Until then I will try to get back to our various trips from earlier this year.
